We are looking for YOU at Lantern Senior Care. Lantern Senior Care is seeking a compassionate and talented caregiver to join our team. The caregiver aids residents in tasks that are essential to their daily care and livelihood. A typical day may include responding to emergency calls and situations; assisting in day to day activities and tasks; documenting and reporting care provided; and helping out at other areas in our senior care facility. Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population is essential for this role.

Salary starting a $15hr depending on experience
Caregiver Job Responsibilities:
• A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our residents.
• Provide assistance to residents in Assisted Living in a manner that meets or exceeds facility expectations.
• Provide stand-by assist (or reminders) with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair, and maintaining the personal environment (i.e., clothing, linen, personal belongings within the apartment).
• Regularly review, follow, and adhere to the residents’ care plans.
• Provide information and encouragement for memory care residents to participate in activity-focused care programs.
• Assist residents within the community to other areas and/or functions.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident/visitor requests and correct environment hazards in a timely, appropriate and safe manner.
• Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes in physical, mental or behavioral conditions.
• Obtain/perform vital signs and heights and weights.
• Know how and be able to respond to emergency needs designed by community policies.
• Attend in-service trainings.
• Observe community policies and procedures regarding attendance, timeliness, house rules, teamwork, customer service and other policies/ procedures that may be introduced from time to time.
• Maintain resident confidentiality.
• Know and comply with all Resident Rights.
• Adhere to Universal Precautions and Infection Control procedures.
• Light handy duties in and around the facility.

Lantern Senior Care is hiring a Maintenance Director to join our company! Here at Lantern Senior Care, we are passionate about what we do and we are looking for a handy and hardworking person who will be a friendly face for our residents!
Our senior care home, located in Clearwater, FL, is seeking someone who is not afraid of getting their hands dirty. This person is a strong leader with excellent customer service and time management skills.
Pay: $15-$20 hourly
Depending on Experience
Maintenance Director responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance repairs and projects as needed to the building, equipment, and grounds.
- Perform repairs under the direction of the Executive Director, and within the area of expertise including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring according to accepted codes.
- Respond to maintenance requests by staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to fire safety and hazardous chemical procedures. Promptly address all unsafe conditions or equipment problems.
- Maintain and beautify the grounds
- Schedule preventative maintenance programs for equipment and make sure it is in good operating condition.
- Perform improvement tasks both indoors and outdoors
- Communicate and build relationships with outside vendors to ensure contracted services are performed.
- Participate in safety committee. Assists with conducting fire drills, conducts audits, assures safety programs are followed, and maintains equipment to safety standards.
- Interact with health and safety inspectors to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.
- Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis.
- Complete heavy janitorial/ maintenance work as needed.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
Maintenance Director skills and requirements:
- Vocational or trade school degree in general maintenance or 3+ years of experience in carpentry, electrical, or painting work
- An emphasis of long term care background is a plus!
- Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, and water supply systems.
- Knowledge of state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work effectively with others within an interdisciplinary team and professionally interact with residents, family members, staff, corporate leadership, and outside contractors.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work as a team member and independently.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests throughout the day.
- Valid drivers license and access to private vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Other activities include frequent kneeling, bending/ stooping, and pushing/ pulling to complete tasks throughout the day.
